TONKA
: STAFFORD STOLEN IN THE U.S.A. |
“... a part of my life was ripped away from me ...” |
| Tonka ... hmm, where do I start? He came to me via Delta at 8 weeks of age - all wrinkles and puppy breath! He comforted me through 3 months of morning sickness, an abusive husband and a wonderful divorce. He has nannied my son since birth. He was a natural showman from the beginning - as long as you don’t count the first puppy match we went to where I had to literally drag him around the ring - thank goodness for slippery floors! Tonka LOVED to show. He loved to cuddle, loved to play, loved his springpole and loved his “mom”, Fajita - my Chihuahua. Mostly though, he loved me, and I him. I’ve always said he’s my first born son, and I mean it. When he was stolen on 14 November 2001, a part of my life was ripped away from me forever. Even if he is ever found, there will always be a piece of me missing. I find myself not trusting ANYONE anymore. I used to leave my front door unlocked - not anymore, even though I think to myself, “What does it matter what they steal NOW?” They have already stolen what means the most and what can never, ever be replaced. When Tonka was stolen he was wearing a leather collar with a brand new black bone-shaped ID tag and a choker chain (we had been working obedience). He is also tattooed on his inner thigh. He responds best to German commands, but will react to English as well. To date there have been no firm leads as to his whereabouts. He could be anywhere in the United States by this time. He may or may not still look like his photos - but if you have seen this dog, or think you may know his whereabouts, please contact me, Carey Hudson, at: E-mail
